Key points

Key points over the four years of study

1. Developing human resources with an entrepreneurial spirit to tackle regional revitalization

The modern business environment is changing dramatically. We train up students with an entrepreneurial spirit and develop human resources capable of planning new businesses and making them a reality. Students study basic theory necessary for future corporate management, including social business theory, marketing, leadership theory, and entrepreneurship theory as well as how to create specific business plans and analyze financial statements, which are skills they will need in the future.

2. Entrepreneurial opportunities while at university

Naturally, students cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset in lectures conducted at the university, but we also provide an environment centered on the Center for Social Innovation Initiatives (CSI) that allows them to engage in entrepreneurial activities while studying at the university. There are several incubators that have started businesses at the CSI, and they are available to field questions from students hoping to start their own businesses. The CSI provides support as a base for networking with guest speakers and others active in the business world.

I want to fill my entire student life with only the things I enjoy.

When I was younger, I was physically weak. While cooking for myself, I took an interest in organic vegetables. I went to see farmers in Nagano and listened to what they had to say and even helped out with work on the farm on a volunteer basis. I also visit product buying clubs, organic restaurants in Tokyo, and places like that. In my Zozan Course class, I have met various people, and that has heavily inspired me to personally get involved. The future is still unclear, but I hope to start some kind of business based on what I’ve learned in my seminars about companies that benefit people and people and environmentally friendly vegetables. I don’t know if it will be a food product or something to do with the social problem of poverty, but I feel like my path is gradually becoming clearer. My most recent personal policy is to fill my entire student life with only what I enjoy. I also want to keep that up in the future.
