Cooking event with exchange students！
With the start of the fall semester (September 2025), our university welcomed five exchange students from partner institutions in China, Taiwan, and South Korea. Hoping to provide these exchange students with more opportunities to interact with Japanese students, our buddy students organized a cooking party at the Kitchen Studio in Gocho Campus. Some students who applied to join and four exchange students participated in this event to cook dishes from the exchange students' home countries.
First, participants split into two groups: one making Korean dishes Tteok-kkochi and Jumeok-bap, and another preparing Taiwanese dishes Shacha Sauce Stir-fry and Meat Ball Soup. Afterward, everyone worked together to make dumplings.
Among the participants were students who had previously studied abroad in China and Taiwan, making this a valuable opportunity to deepen connections through languages other than Japanese.

They are international student supporters to help inbound exchange students adjust smoothly to life and studies at the University of Nagano.
